ISSUES TO BE CONSIDERED ON FOREIGN FLAGGED BOATS:

Foreign companies where foreign flagged boats are registered have to pay taxes to the countries they are affiliated with each year.

In addition, taxes and fees that are not paid on time are collected with interest, and if they are not paid, the company and boat records are closed.

These taxes vary according to the characteristics of the company and boat, as well as the types of flags they fly.

The duration of the Transitlog Documents of Foreign Flagged Boats must be checked and their validity period is 1 (One) Year.

Foreign Flag Boats, with the Transit Log documents that need to be renewed every year, stay in Turkey for 5 (Five) Years, and at the end of every 5 years, the boat must go abroad.

In order for Foreign Flagged Boats to be able to navigate smoothly in Turkey, the necessary documents must be provided and kept on board at all times.

It is important that some of these documents are Notary and Translation certified, and that the documents coming from foreign countries are Apostille-approved and Consular-approved.

"Transit Fuel", which can be purchased by Foreign Flag Boats, can only be purchased when the boat will go abroad.

Persons who do not have a residence outside the country of foreign flagged boat registrations must register with a foreign company, as it is against the Turkish Customs and Boat Legislation to register a boat in their own name (as individuals).
